| Professional cellist urgently needs to buy an old European cello (e.g., pre 1900) of quality and reasonable pedigree with original varnish -- can be in poor condition, but not irreparably damaged. Price can be anywhere up to $15,000. Not interested in labels as much as in a great-sounding instrument that is basically in good shape or can be repaired. Definitely prefer Italian or French. Will drive to examine it, provided it is in CA.
