| Beautiful French 4/4 Cello
Over 100 years years old
Francais Breton, Mirecourt
$7,000.00
This cello is in a good state of preservation, and sounds great. It has been played faithfully
for 20 years. All maintenence & repairs have been done professionally. The certification
from purchase in 1985 states cello was made in 1822 by Francais Breton. The button
bears the maker's brand "Breton". It has a 2 piece horizontal, fine grain maple back. The
ribs & scroll are of similar wood. This cello has a two piece, fine grain, spruce top.
Appraisal papers value this cello at $7,000.00 four years ago. Recent professional
verbal appraisal was higher. This is a perfect cello for an advanced student looking for a
high quality instrument. The cello is available to be played in Howell, NJ. I prefer an
in-person pick up because of the value of the instrument, but will ship with insurance at
buyers expense. Purchase includes a new case.
